Solar Infra Systems is an innovative developer and manufacturer of supplementary heating products that provide value to our customers, both economically and environmentally. Research and product development of Solar Infra Systems began in 2005,while conducting experimentation and analysis of solar thermal technology that could heat both air and water. Our mandate was to design, develop, manufacture and bring to market, effective solar heating products that require only sunlight and infrared energy to operate, and therefore have a ‘zero carbon’ footprint.

Our products were initially created to meet the supplementary heating needs of ‘off-grid users’ who rely heavily on alternative methods for energy and heat. We have spent the past 9 years developing products that use the same technology for not only residential applications, but for industrial applications as well.

Solar Infra Systems portable residential solar heating units are the first generation model and the only design of its kind in the market. They provide consumers the opportunity to affordably supplement their current heating system, while saving money and reducing their impact on the environment. Our unique and innovative technology is creating an entirely new market for solar thermal air and water heaters.

Our ‘Solar Air Heaters’ address both environmental and economic concerns. We believe that there are alternatives to the standard heating and cooling systems used by most of us today, which are expensive to both the consumer and the planet. We are constantly assessing and researching new solar innovations, and are currently in the development stages of the first solar powered air conditioner. These are exciting times! Innovation, solar science and environmental concerns are what we are passionate about and what drives us to find new solutions.

How it Works:
This is an indoor solar window heater. The Solar Fan draws in the room air through a bottom vent. The air is pulled over the metal solar energy collectors and warm air is recirculated back into the room.  An AC fan adapter is included for when the sun is not strong enough to power the solar fan.

All of us can have a large impact on moving the planet towards a greener future simply by paying attention to the choices we make every day. You would be surprised how much can happen if every one of us made a few small changes in our day to day routines.




USE LESS ENERGY
Reducing emissions that cause climate change can be achieved by simply cutting back on the use of home heating fuels and electricity.  Program or manually turn the furnace down at night or when you are not going to be home fora while.


Consider supplementing your existing home heating system with heaters that solar heat air or alternatively heaters that use solar energy. Consider investing in a geothermal heating system or installing solar panels on your home to produce energy, the initial cash investment will translate into lower long-term monthly energy bills.  Turn off the lights when you leave a room and switch to high efficiency light bulbs. You can get plenty of information from your heat and hydro providers.  Check their website, for all kinds of energy saving tips. Not only will you be helping the environment, you will help to reduce your bills.




If you can afford the upgrade, switchingto energy-efficient appliances is another way to reduce your energy consumption. New refrigerators now use 40% less energy than their predecessors manufactured just 10 years ago.
Buy yard tools that are not electrically or gas powered.  The savings accrued from a manual lawn mower will more than pay for a gym membership and you will be less likely to need one.

Food consumption is another area that can have a considerable negative impact on the environment.  Food production can cause pollution of our air and water, and affects the loss of soil and reduced biodiversity. When it is time to purchase a new vehicle, why not consider shopping for something more fuel efficient.  It is worth checking with the local government’s Auto Smart Ratings, where you can find valuable information on fuel efficient and low polluting options.  Did you know that the average SUV uses almost twice the fuel and releases almost twice the emissions than that of a modern station wagon, and yet they both seat the same number of passengers?




Even small changes in your daily routine can have impacts over time. Pick one of your regular destinations you visit each week and ride your bike or transit once a week just to see how convenient it is not having to gas up your car or pay for parking, or walk there, because every step, is a step in the right direction.

Next vacation plan a staycation and explore your own city on bike or travel a shorter distance by another mode of transportation.




All of us would prefer a shorter commute to work or school.  It’s not always easy or affordable to live where you want to, but if you are planning to move, consider neighborhoods that are closer to your place of work.  Many neighborhoods are being developed in which people can live, work and shop within them, and walk to most of those destinations.  Not only will you be healthier by walking more places, but by reducing the use of your vehicle you will belowering your greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. Start becoming part of the solution!

Just another Solar Day in New Hampshire:


This is a typical day here in New England, the sun is out, the temperature is 28 degrees. I place three Solar Air Heaters in my windows facing south from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day.  These are located in my kitchen and living room. These rooms are also 12'x20' and 12'x18'. My house thermostat is set for 62f. Using the solar air heaters on sunny and partially sunny days brings the room temperature up to 69f.
The furnace does not go on all day - saving my winter fuel heating costs.

When placed in a window with Southern exposure, interior cool air is drawn through the lower air intakes by the solar powered fan. The collector cells are heated by infrared energy from the sun. Through convection, the air passes through the collectors and retains the barrier heat. The air then rises to the next collector and repeats the process, adding to the collected heat. The air temperature continues to rise as it passes through each collector.

Our patented revolutionary technology provides effective supplementary heat for up to 150 sq. ft. during daylight hours (equivalent to a 150 to 500 watt electric heater). When positioned in a southern facing window the solar panel’s 3 dimensional collector cells will absorb infrared rays in sunny and partial cloudy conditions, creating cost effective heating for your space. Solar window panels are also excellent in temporarily vacant recreational properties, garages, sheds, RVs or boats where some heat is needed to eliminate damp or mold.

Innovation

Research and product development of Solar Infra Systems began in 2005,while conducting experimentation and analysis of solar thermal technology that could heat both air and water. Our mandate was to design, develop, manufacture and bring to market, effective solar heating products that require only sunlight and infrared energy to operate, and therefore have a ‘zero carbon’ footprint.

Our products were initially created to meet the supplementary heating needs of ‘off-grid users’ who rely heavily on alternative methods for energy and heat. We have spent the past 9 years developing products that use the same technology for not only residential applications, but for industrial applications as well.

Solar Infra Systems portable residential solar heating units are the first generation model and the only design of its kind in the market. They provide consumers the opportunity to affordably supplement their current heating system, while saving money and reducing their impact on the environment. Our unique and innovative technology is creating an entirely new market for solar thermal air and water heaters.

Our ‘Solar Air Heaters’ address both environmental and economic concerns. We believe that there are alternatives to the standard heating and cooling systems used by most of us today, which are expensive to both the consumer and the planet. We are constantly assessing and researching new solar innovations, and are currently in the development stages of the first solar powered air conditioner. These are exciting times!
