Glauber's Salt / Solar Passive Heating

I am researching if Glauber's Salt can be used in the solar passive heating applications - with my Solar Passive Window Box Heaters.

If the Glauber's salt can retain heat- this might be a perfect solution to my window box heaters.
The passive window box heaters only work when the sun is out.

If the boxes can still push out heat long after the sun has gone down, they we now have a viable heat source well into the night.

The new solar fans have arrived - we are starting manufacturing on 2/8/2013.

I am keeping the orginal design of 4 solar fans inside each unit.

We will be shipping the units within the Continental U.S.

We are very excited and know these low cost window units will increase the heat in any room. !

Solar Window Box Heater Update

We are getting ready to go into production on the solar window box heater.

We were having some slight problems with the solar fans, but have corrected the issues.

Stay tuned. I am hoping mid-feb we will be in full production.

Another Solar Day in New England - Solar Passive Window Box Heaters

Hi
I have added new pictures showing actual use of the solar window box heater. This is a typical day here in new england, the sun is out, the temperature is 28 degrees F. I place the window box in the kitchen window from 9am to 3 pm each day. There is also a close up of the solar window box heater showing the embedded solar fans. My house thermostat is set for 65f. Using the solar window box heater on a sunny day brings the room temperatur up to 69f. The furnace does not go on all day - saving my winter fuel heating costs.
