When placed in a window with Southern exposure, interior cool air is drawn through the lower air intakes by the solar powered fan. The collector cells are heated by infrared energy from the sun. Through convection, the air passes through the collectors and retains the barrier heat. The air then rises to the next collector and repeats the process, adding to the collected heat. The air temperature continues to rise as it passes through each collector.
Our patented revolutionary technology provides effective supplementary heat for up to 150 sq. ft. during daylight hours (equivalent to a 150 to 500 watt electric heater). When positioned in a southern facing window the solar panel’s 3 dimensional collector cells will absorb infrared rays in sunny and partial cloudy conditions, creating cost effective heating for your space. Solar window panels are also excellent in temporarily vacant recreational properties, garages, sheds, RVs or boats where some heat is needed to eliminate damp or mold.

" Actually the solar heat is not already in your house until the sun, around noon, is able to directly shine into the room. Then it mainly heats up the floor and the heat rises to the ceiling and stays there. This solar air heater is like an electric room heater, except it heats and circulates room air with solar energy and not electricity. Most household heaters, including your recirculating air furnace only heat the air in the house. (Unless you have a heat vent recovery unit). Like a room electric heater, you simply “plug it in” by hanging it the window. It recovers the room heat lost through the walls and windows and prevents the room thermostat from coming on and turning on the main house heating system. If you have a cottage with no electricity, this heater is perfect for off season mildew prevention. In some regions electricity is already up to 12 cents per kilowatt and in some areas, propane is nearly $4.00 per gallon. What heater can you buy that pays for itself in a couple of years? Just make sure you get the right one for single pane and standard double pane windows. "

InnovationResearch and product development of Solar Infra Systems began in 2005,while conducting experimentation and analysis of solar thermal technology that could heat both air and water. Our mandate was to design, develop, manufacture and bring to market, effective solar heating products that require only sunlight and infrared energy to operate, and therefore have a ‘zero carbon’ footprint.
Our products were initially created to meet the supplementary heating needs of ‘off-grid users’ who rely heavily on alternative methods for energy and heat. We have spent the past 9 years developing products that use the same technology for not only residential applications, but for industrial applications as well.
Solar Infra Systems portable residential solar heating units are the first generation model and the only design of its kind in the market. They provide consumers the opportunity to affordably supplement their current heating system, while saving money and reducing their impact on the environment. Our unique and innovative technology is creating an entirely new market for solar thermal air and water heaters.
Our ‘Solar Air Heaters’ address both environmental and economic concerns. We believe that there are alternatives to the standard heating and cooling systems used by most of us today, which are expensive to both the consumer and the planet.
